北海道内の大手法律事務所で約９年間、勤務弁護士として研鑽を積んだ後、独立開業いたしました。在籍中は国際法務のほぼ全てを任され、顧問先のリーガルチェックといった日々の依頼業務から、企業間紛争、不動産・建築紛争、知的財産法務、損害保険法務（交通事故・医療事故）、倒産処理、相続まで、分野を問わず１０００件を超える事件に携わってまいりました。
大手で培った、揺るがぬ背骨
国を相手取った巨額の独占禁止法関連事件など、大手ならではのスケールの大きな難事件を数多く担当できたことは、得難い財産です。
何より、優れた識見と個性を備えた先輩方の薫陶を通じて、法の抜け穴や制度の不備を突くようなアンフェアな手法は採らず、フェアに堂々と勝負するという法曹の基本姿勢を徹底的に叩き込まれたことが、今の私の背骨になっております。
独立後 ── 経営者と歩む法的体制づくり
独立後は、中小企業・各種法人の経営者の方々、個人の事業家の方々からご相談を頂き、顧問契約という形での法的体制の整備、日々生じる疑問へのお答え、法律相談、契約書の作成・レビュー、各種法的文書の作成、労働問題、紛争解決といったサポートを主たる業務としております。
外国人技能実習制度の監理団体の法律顧問に就任したことを契機に、外国人労働者の問題（技能実習・特定技能・特定活動）にも重点的に取り組んでおります。
学術的背景と語学力を活かした国際法務
東京大学では、アメリカ法・ヨーロッパ法をはじめとする外国法・国際法、そして外国為替及び外国貿易法等を中心に研究し、英語を用いた法務を得意としております（TOEIC９９０点）。とりわけ輸出管理法令（外為法等）に関する専門知識は、私の特色の一つです。
こうした学術的背景と語学力を活かし、道内の弁護士としては相当に異例ながら、国際取引・国際共同研究等に関する英文契約書の作成・翻訳・精査、英語による法的文書の作成、国際商事仲裁における専門家証人など、数多くのご依頼を頂いてまいりました。
個人のお客様と、海外案件という持ち味
もっとも、顧問契約を別とすれば、事件単位では個人のお客様の割合も依然として３割ほどを占めております。外資系企業に勤める方の労働問題、外国人の起業サポート、外国人が関わる相続など、海外案件の比重が高いのが私らしい特徴かもしれません。
高齢者の法的支援 ── 社会的責務として
２０２１年からは高齢者施設で月２回の法律講演を続けるなど、高齢者の法的支援にも力を注いでおります。法律相談、財産管理、任意後見、遺言、相続、生前贈与、近隣トラブル、家族信託など、高齢の皆様が心豊かに、安心して暮らしていくためのお手伝いです。
私自身、父の遺言や母の交通事故被害といった法的問題に、当事者として向き合った経験があります。高齢の方々ほど法的援助を必要としながら、その手が届きにくい──だからこそ、その支援は弁護士の社会的責務であると考えております。

弁護士という仕事は、勘と経験が物を言う一方で、広い常識をもって多分野に通暁し、なお特定分野には深い理解をもつことが求められます。この言葉を胸に、いつまでも研鑽を重ねてまいります。

Message from the Attorney
After honing my skills for about nine years as an associate at a major law firm in Hokkaido, I established my own practice. During my time there, I was entrusted with nearly all of the firm's international legal work, and I handled over 1,000 cases across every field — from day-to-day legal checks for advisory clients to disputes between companies, real-estate and construction disputes, intellectual property, insurance law (traffic and medical accidents), insolvency, and inheritance.
A Backbone Forged at a Major Firm
Handling many large, difficult cases on the scale only a major firm sees — including a massive antitrust matter against the State — has been an invaluable asset.
Above all, through the guidance of senior lawyers of fine judgment and character, I was thoroughly instilled with a fundamental principle of the profession: never to resort to unfair tactics that exploit legal loopholes or gaps in the system, but to compete fairly and with dignity. That principle has become my backbone.
Since Going Independent — Building Legal Frameworks with Business Owners
Since establishing my practice, I have been consulted by the owners of small and mid-sized enterprises and various organizations, as well as individual entrepreneurs. My main work centers on building legal frameworks through advisory contracts, answering day-to-day questions, legal consultations, drafting and reviewing contracts, preparing various legal documents, labor matters, and dispute resolution.
My appointment as legal advisor to a supervising organization under the Technical Intern Training Program was the catalyst for my focused work on issues concerning foreign workers (technical intern training, specified skilled worker, designated activities).
International Practice Built on Academic Background and Language Skills
At the University of Tokyo, I focused my studies on foreign and international law — including U.S. and European law — and on the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act and related fields, and I am well-versed in legal work conducted in English (TOEIC 990). My specialized knowledge of export-control laws (the FEFTA, etc.) is one of my distinguishing strengths.
Drawing on this academic background and language ability — quite unusual for a lawyer based in Hokkaido — I have handled many engagements such as drafting, translating, and reviewing English-language contracts for international transactions and joint research, preparing legal documents in English, and serving as an expert witness in international commercial arbitration.
Individual Clients and a Strength in Cross-Border Matters
That said, setting advisory contracts aside, individual clients still account for about 30% of my caseload. Labor issues for those working at foreign-affiliated companies, support for foreign nationals starting businesses, and inheritance matters involving foreign nationals — a high proportion of cross-border matters may be what most characterizes my work.
Legal Support for the Elderly — As a Social Responsibility
Since 2021, I have devoted myself to legal support for the elderly, including twice-monthly legal lectures at senior facilities. This means helping older people live with peace of mind and a rich spirit — through legal consultations, asset management, voluntary guardianship, wills, inheritance, lifetime gifts, neighborhood troubles, and family trusts.
I myself have faced legal problems firsthand, such as my father's will and my mother's injury in a traffic accident. The elderly often need legal help the most, yet find it hardest to reach — and that is precisely why I regard such support as a lawyer's social responsibility.

The work of a lawyer rewards intuition and experience, yet it also demands broad common sense and command of many fields, together with deep understanding of particular ones. With these words in mind, I will continue to refine my craft for as long as I practice.
